Church History 1929
The new church building was completed in 1929. It consisted of a large auditorium, balcony, choir and class rooms on each side that opened to make the auditorium larger for more seating capacity. The basement consisted of a kitchen and fellowship hall with a large coal fired steam heat unit. Hardwood oak floors were installed throughout the upper floors. They had theater type seats cushioned with leather and spring seats. A grand piano was installed also.

Dedication June 1929
Sunday morning services were Sunday School and preaching. Sunday night services were B.Y.P.U. (Baptist Young People Union) which in later years was changed to B.T.U. (Baptist Training Union) which included adults and has continued that way. The Lord's Supper was held quarterly.

This is also the year of the stock market crash that ushers in the Great Depression.
