Church History 1970 - 1979

In 1974 central air conditioning was installed in the auditorium and educational facilities.

The grand piano was sold in 1976 for $1000.00, and a new organ and piano was installed. In 1977 new pews were installed, and new carpeting was installed in the auditorium and side rooms. The old pews were given to the Baptist Church of Keys, Oklahoma.

In 1978 the church voted and approved to give $110.00 to help purchase land for a new Benton County Baptist Association Office, and each month an allotted amount is given to help finance it.

In 1978 the Children's Church and the puppet ministry were both started. In December 1978, Stanton Cram became our pastor.

In 1979 the church hired Don Nichlos as the first Music and Youth Director. Also a tape ministry was added to the church.
