Church History 2000

In April 2000, George Wisley was called as full time Minister of Worship and Student Ministries.

In August 2001, we voted to have a Capital Fund Raising Program for a new church.

In 2002 two new vans replaced the old vans for the bus ministry and the old vans were donated to a church in Oklahoma.

"Forward by Faith" Stewardship Campaign begins to commit funds for building construction. Despite the social and economic repercussions of the tragic terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001, a goal of $579,272.00 was pledged.

From August 1, 2001 to January 25, 2004 over $630,000.00 was given to the "Forward by Faith" Building fund.

On January 4, 2004 we voted to borrow $1,500,000.00 from the Bank of Pea Ridge and get started on construction!

In April 2003 a new video projection system was added to the church.

January 25, 2004 Ground Breaking for the new Church on 72 Highway.

April 2004, Large wooden cross built & donated to the church by Morris Cothran.

September 19, 2004 we had the our first service in the new church even though it was not finished, no electricity, no windows or doors. But with a strong presence of the Lord and with 287 in attendance the Sunday Celebration of the successful conclusion of the "Forward by Faith" campaign and cookout after the service was a GREAT beginning to the soon finishing of the new church.

October 3, 2004 Began the addition of a 3rd service and additional Bible study classes these changes have been made to provide more space for us to continue to grow until our new building is ready.

October 20, 2004 Steeple on the new church is installed.

November 2004 began "Growing by Faith" the second stewardship campaign with pledges of $431,083.00

July 10th, 2005 we are moved in our new church and had the first official service, the new church is beautiful, there are some items to finish up, there is an auction scheduled for July 19th, 2005 at the old church.

2005 The youth building on Curtis St. was sold for $100,000.00 and the old church building on Curtis St. sold for $282,000.00

November 2005 to date the amount given to "Growing by Faith" is $191,006.81
